I really screwed up---but I'm Learning

I am posting here to draw your attention to a learning process I have been exposed to and which proved to be unpleasant for me. It caused me to learn a bunch about flaming and trolls---I have posted it under the above title on the off-topic board and hope you will take the time to read it.

My regrets to members of this forum for getting so angry at the actions of one member. I have learned and it will not happen again.

Good read Bernie

Kinda reminded me of me. Cept for one thing, I actually like most of the people on this board. And, I pretty much know of what I speak from experience and living here.
What this means is, even though I enjoy messing with a few coup grouper tourists on here, I actually listen to those I respect so I probably will be staying around and yes, trolling for the weakminded every so often. Certainly a good "fishin hole" so to speak.

Bernie, you would do yourself well to thicken up your skin. I read your recent posts to Yankee. What the El was that all about? You have been posting two years and you just have learned what a flame, and a troll are. Well, I guess it is better late than never, but your attempts to censure others and control, along with the rest of the chicken coupers, the direction of this board, need to be moderated. If you can't see it coming, because it has already started, more and more posts are answered by fewer, and fewer posters, because your little group of favorites runs everyone else off. Don't worry though, I will always be around to give you a friendly chuck in the side.

I guess this site needn't worry about JR, he hasn't even made the Flame Warriers list.

Great site grover, thank you

...I enjoyed reading through and experienced several "Ahah!" moments.

My guess is that you have secretly developed a list of Nomad handles with notations matching them with certain of the Flame Warriors for your own private amusement.

Human nature and behavior does have predictable patterns in community situations, even virtual.

Once again, thanks for the laughs.

Diminish mentality

Yes you did indeed screw up. Here's the timeline for you to reinvest in your twisted little game of deception.

http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=10982

1755 Nomads here and only 8 are holding you up with this delirious response here. My response to you is this: get your facts collected before trying to deminish others.

1755 Nomads and only 8 respondees are backing you up. What does this say to you? No one likes this stuff. Me included. I just wished that you had not degraded me for you personal image on this forum. Leave me alone, and I will leave you alone (with negative remarks aimed towards each other). My cards are on the table here. Your call.

no offense, but no one cares really, except you. Get over it. Your buttons to push are pretty big and obvious. You just offer up more fodder. You need to review the Redwing toons and descriptions and not overreact to flames or suspected flaming. It seems the lures being trolled are working quite well. Look for live bait instead.

I wouldnt count on that. 550 some odd numbers have lookied onto this post. No offense...many folks here do care about both sides of the story. If I am being lured....then they have a damn good catch!

Havent heard from you Bernie.

On 6-6-2005 at 10:08 AM , jrbaja posted this topic ?Interesting posts or not?? This post was about controversial issues (more or less)

On 6-6-2005 at 10:27 AM Steve in Oro Valley asked about cactus.

On 6-6-2005 at 11:58 AM Yankeeirishman has a response about catus that is NOT negative towards anyone at all. I am talking about that the silent folks should speak out, and I talk about ?For folks like lencho, Mike Humfreville, jrbaja, the Guru, and a gang more here...are great? THERE IS NO NEGATIVISM in this post reply of mine.

On 6-6-2005 at 02:08 PM Baja Bernie attacks my viewpoints and my way of responding.

Baja Bernie?.
These are the facts (above), for anyone doubting this timeline, go to http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=10929#pid8469...

In another post of yours http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=10964 : regarding the issues above: ?Recently I allowed myself to get trolled and I did almost everything wrong in responding to this type person?.

WHAT? I have NEVER interjected myself into any of your posts. You Sir?say that I trolled you? No No No! You jumped at me first with a slap on my style of responding to other Nomads http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=10929#pid8469... You trolled ME! Yes?I responded back to you harshly. There are 1755 Nomad members here. Only 7 so far have backed you up with this crazy post of yours!

The Sand Dunes
http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=10857&pag... this poster responds back to me with a thanks for all the data I gave him, Marie-Rose says right on about ?don?t be silent?, DavidK asked ? From the tire tracks in your photo, I guess it would also be a loss to recreational off roading?? was about the worst of it!

Bernie Swaim, I know that you are reading this reply;
I think (and many others do too) my style of writing is positive but not very office politically correct! I have MANY times admit that I am a harsh writer and to the point. I do not pretend here. I write my feelings on whatever the subject may fair. I am not here for a popularity contest and to kiss burro. I state what?s on my mind, I respond to get results in the end. Does Caballero Publishing Company edit the Authors intents? Why you try to divert my writings then?
If you and others do not like my postings, and responses?. do not read them! I will never be a kiss ?ass?er? here because I am so worried about image. Should you wish to respond to this ?I will call it settled and not respond back to you. In the future?before you attack me?.see all good stuff I have done here too.
