Jellyfish ID

Can anyone ID this jelly? It's about 3 inches across the tentacles.

Blue

These have been showing up (in small numbers) for the last two weeks in the Lagoon at Percebu. First time I've seen them in a number of years.

Blue jellies

Served as a delicacy in Japan, these jellies common in Australia are dried and exported. Successful jelly farming is now commonplace at many marine aquariums. Commercial farming however has not panned out. Beautiful and fascinating to watch in captivity. They mesmerize you with their pulsating rhythms almost into a trance.

Jellyfish ID

Asking around and Googling turns up the info that it isn't actually a jellyfish but rather a hydrozoan.

Taxonomy:
cnidaria hydrozoa chondrophora porpitadae porpita porpita

Also called porpita Pacifica

Common name blue sea star

Couldn't find anything about edibility. Seems awfully small for human consumption, but, hey, we eat shrimp, right?
