Oh my goodness

The gringo gazoot had it right so I have to apologize on this one. We are getting an electric gate, guard house with armed guard and real live security.
I now live in a true gated gringo enclave:lol: What all this probably means is that our rent will be going up. Do you think they will take into account the fact that we haven't had water for three days?
Some things never change:lol: And I wouldn't trade fer nuthin! I'm just wondering how those wonderful Mexican families are going to gain access on the weekends. Sure will miss those aromas!

don't you just love the way the Gringos are trying to make Baja into L.A..

If they don't feel safe here they should go back to Bakersfield or wherever:lol:

Jr,

Does this mean that you're going to have to paint your house pink?

Not yet

But they (the social club) want to cement this area and put in curbs. I just heard this today.

Paving paradise and putting in parking lot's!

Glad we planned for this:lol::light:

Hey Yankee

I think it was you with the Mcdonalds additions to my pics.
Anyways, could you install a Starbucks on that bluff so I can print it out? I have an idea.

Actually, you should put a really cozy family-owned coffehouse on that bluff, so Starbucks can see it, open up their own place across the road, and drive the family place out of business. Wireless access is free, you know.

No, it is not. A T-Mobile account is necessary.

PAVEMENT AND CURBS !?!?!

NO way! I can't (don't want to anyway) believe it! Why would anyone want to mess up such a beautiful place? What's with this stupid thing called 'progress'? Some things just really suck :fire:!

The beauty and peacefulness I have found in Baja is relatively new to me. I had never been past La Bufodora, and that was about 15 years ago. Needless to say, that place sure has changed... Anyway, I have found such a contentment and peace of mind when I am down there, I never want to leave. Oh! You all know how awesome the food is there too! I just can't seem to get full when I'm there... there just always seems to be room for that next taco stand down the road .

JR, if you paint your house pink, could you add a little something purple? :bounce: That could be fun!
Ok, sorry folks, Im beginning to babble on.... you all have a great evening and an even better weekend :saint:

O ya sure! You'll see it in a day or so. So do you have to be in by ten each night too?:lol::lol:

Wow...nice ocean there...perhaps deep enough for the cruise lines to dock?!

JR

I fought asphalt roads in La Salina for years and finally compromised with crushed rock. That still sucked because you just can't make your feet tough enough to walk on that stuff. Another little wedge that caused us to hang it up and move back full time to the states.

Some make light of your problem because if they reacted seriously there would be more people heading back north.

Not sure I made the right decision but most of the new people in camp were what you call P-nche gringo's.

Not a problem Bernie

We've watched what the P-nche's have been doing for years. That's one of the reasons I got a place that will be many years before they pave. And when they finally do, the bamboo will be taking care of anything they try to pave it with!:light:
