Another thing I forgot to ask....

Has anyone had experience (I think they ahve one there) with the HOme Depot in Ensenada? Are they stocked much like stateside and how did you find their prices? If there isn't what would you recommend as a source for building materials south of the border?

No Home Depot on Ensanada...it's in TJ

It has EVERYTHING and more...lousy wood selection.
Sometimes the prices are better sometimes not...

Local builders in your area will get materials for you....no problem.

Home Depot (in Tijuana, anyway) does not stock yard drain pipe (flexible or coex/smoothwall) or catch basins, etc. I guess they use the more expensive ABS for rain drainage or nothing at all.

From what I have seen

The Home Depot in Tj doesn't come close to stocking anywhere near what a u.s. store carries. Especially in the tool dept.

If you know your tools, get them in the states for good brands and accessories.

Home Depot

Right on bajalou, don't let them slight us! We have a Home Depot in Mexicalli !! Yes the selection sometimes leaves stuff to be desired but I find the prices to be comparable in the long run considering you don,t have to go through customs! I don't know about the lumber yards in San Quntin but I found one in Delta that give excellent service all the way to 40 miles south of San Felipe for a large order, its on the left in town and they speak english and I can not remember the name and all my tickets are in Baja and I am in Yuma BO-HU.
Home Depot will deliver to the South Campos also.
There must be a large lumber yard in San Quntin that delivers to Bola, I know there is a hardware store there that has every gaget and appliance part you can imagine, it looks like a trade show from Dallas dumped everything there!
