Ensenada Albacore

Hello everyone. My brother and I were able to sneak away from life for a day and fished the offshore Ensenada waters on Sunday, Oct 5. We left the farm Saturday at 6 PM and the boat was in the barn at the Coral 3 hours later. Rented a room in Sauzal. Launched at 4 AM Sunday. Decent, small sardines from Mike, not pinheads!~.
A note, all the fish we caught were plugged with squid and larger sardines. We fished at the Double 220. Limits of quality albacore, 25-40 lb fish, by 2 PM. Light winds, small seas. A window of oppourtunity rewarded!
The Hotel Coral ha s tighter controls in place. Launch ramp is chained. Pay for launch at the Hotel main desk if no one is around. Keep all receipts, they ask for these now. Great place, just expect to pay for services rendered.
If you want catch the best grade of albacore to pass through in quite a while, now is the time.
Drove home Sunday, evening, one hour at the border in TJ.
Thanks everyone for your prayers and thoughts for my dad!
