Baja Talk Radio - Pilot Larry Hahn & Baja of the past

Hi Everyone:

This week's show on Baja Talk Radio (Tuesday Aug. 16th 1-2pm) will have pilot Larry Hahn (and possibly his son) who has been flying in Baja for over 40 years. We'll talk about the old days with Papa Diaz in Bahia de Los Angeles, Mulege and Don Johnson, as well as other memories of old Baja.

Please email (mexicoted@yahoo.com) or call (888-514-2100) in with a question for him.

Congrats to Will Freeman who was last week's winner of two free nights at Rosarito beach Hotel.

Hope all of you will listen,
Ted

Larry flew from El Paso to my Viva Baja #3 event in Oceanside. He was one of the first guests to arrive and was kind enough to bring his collection of Arnold Senterfitt's 'Airports of Baja' books from years ago... along with old photos of trips into Baja to share with my guests.

Larry has been very kind to send photos that are of interest. I made a web page of some photos he took at the Hotel Serenidad's 40th birthday party: http://community-2.webtv.net/boojum1/serenidad/

Larry has a web site as well, with many classic Baja photos: http://www.BajaDreams.com Check out the Taco Bell link... Larry was Mr. Bell's pilot!

Here is Larry in Feb. 2002 at Viva Baja 3, with red-haired Graham Mackintosh ...

True as far as you went. He also owned, and I believe he still does, a bunch of Taco Bell's and has a reasonable income from same. He also conducts tours of Class A+ motor homes from Texas to the mainland and ocassionally to Baja. Not because he needs the money but because he loves Mexico and it people. He came up wtih the idea of the(can't spell it or pronounce it) tiny dog in the Taco Bell Commericals.
He has stiffed me for a number of months, years, but he is a Baja Guy so I honor him.
