Not so unusual

that the school is not supplied such as we are used to here in the states. When our daughter attended school, both rural baja and collegio, we as parents were asked to supply our child with toilet paper, kleenex, soap for the bathroom, all writing and drawing paper, pencils, crayola, paints, modeling clay, etc. This is the norm, or at least our experience in attending both schools.

Not to say that contributions are not needed, as a retired teacher I had much to donate at the time. I still raid the classrooms of my private school teacher friends come the end of the year for their cast offs to take back home to baja.

Good luck with your school. I'm sure that your work will be greatly appreciated.
