A trip to Baja 3

Ahhhhh, El Requeson........ and only four other campers on the beach !!! Wow !! While the wife was off walking with the daughter and pooch, I unloaded and set up camp then found a comfy spot near the water for my beach lounger and let my eyes slowly closed shut, dreaming I was laying on a beach in Baja...........

Anyone ever had a really, really bad sunburn on their feet ??
My size 12 D's looked like 14 triple E's by morning ! "Gee honey, I think I should just keep my feet up and take it easy while I take some Benedryl and IBU and wait for the swelling to go down." "And could you please make me some lunch and a Marguarita to wash it down ?" "Thanks, sweety; love you !" Isn't Baja heavenly ?!!!

How many days can I keep this up ??
Any guesses ??

Next stop is good old Manfred's. Does anyone know if he was really in the SS or just a too-young wanna-be ??

Diver
We were at Manfreds on our last trip. A caravan of Airstreams was already camped when we arrived. Lotsa of beautiful rigs, I might add. Anyway, the next morning when they were all ready to leave, we hear this stacatto of orders being barked at these poor souls and look out to see Manfred arming a flailing directing them out of the park. Hearing him made you want to stand up and salute. He is a trip for sure. One of Baja's many characters.

Yes, Manfred is definitely a character. Once you get used to his persona, he is a pretty nice guy, his wife is a real sweety.

We always plan a stop to see him and to shop in Cuidad. There are some great markets, a fish market and some other stores that have not been affected by "tourist" pricing yet. Hard to find anyone that speaks fluent english in town, but they are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
It is mostly a town of "working people" and families.

Pompano,

This is a story from our past. We don't get to head south until early January this year.

"Manfred's Institute for Correct Camping" Perfect description !!!

There is a Super Ley in Constitucion now that has the freshest produce you will find anywhere in Baja. Pretty good fried chicken from the deli too. The prices seemed reasonable.

Diver-Did you get my u2u?
