Curious
I used to go to Baja all the time, it was great. Then I started going to
San Felipe, it was great. Then I started going to mainland Mexico, it was great. Now I'm thinking I'll head back to Baja, do you think it will still
be great???

Yes it is still great.
Los Cabos is overcrowded but the rest of the peninsula from San Quintin down is still wild if you get off the main road.
Post a trip report when you get back, please

What did you go to Baja for? There are so many 'different Bajas' to its visitors...
If off the main road adventures, four wheeling, historic and geologic sites of interest are your thing, then check out my web site and notebook links,
at the bottom of my posts on Nomad...
I have links to other Baja adventure websites, friends' photos, and personal trip photos there, plus maps, GPS waypoints, etc.
Here's one map to show the roads to the exotic canyons southwest of San Felipe...

Dave, It all started back in the 60's, going to Baja as Marines too young to drink in California. Then after Nam, it was just to get away from
everything. Later going to Baja was with friends just to hang out, away from the world. Later still it was to run dunbuggies and motorcycles. Now
it "for the memories"

Cool, well I think Baja is a great place with wonderful people, food, history, and geology... Lots of great dirt roads (and beaches far from people)
to dunebuggy on, too.
You will find your memories still in Baja... the places are there, some may be developed or paved.. but you can get passed that I am sure.
Remember, you still have new memories to make...
See you there sometime, in 'the Baja'!
