MIKE OVERCAST GOOD or BAD

We were looking into doing some business with Mr. Overcast but he has been unreachable. He has been promoting a off-road race called the Cabo 500 and we were to do the TV productions for it. He has refused to sign a contract until we get sponsors for the race. Have any of you had past dealings with him and what are your thoughts.

He seems to be a very nice fellow but there are just a few things that are putting up red flags!

Thank You in advance for your HONEST input.

Your client is no longer welcome, nor permitted on my property at bajanomad.com. Any future trespass will be forced interference with my property and rights.

The threat of "severe litigation" upon myself, disregards and/or breaches his agreement with me, and thusly his account and access permissions are rescinded.

I regret that I am not overly impressed by the Raspberry awards your client is receiving from the Baja California community.

Regards,
--
Doug Means

Doubt that you will get more than a yellow flag on this one.

Personally, I wouldn't trust Overcast as far as I could throw him. I have heard way too many unsettling comments about him from too many seperate sources.

That's just the opinion of a man that has run his own family business for 23 years and made his share of mistakes. (of course, I don't make the same mistake over and over and over and.....)

Your name suggests something nefarious.

You might be a good match with the Overcasts.

On another note, could I interest you in a bridge in Baja?

Yes I am the Same Speedtrap as Glamis Dunes.;D

Speedtrap is the name of 1 of the TV productions that Jaguar Media Group does.

We were aproached by Mr. Overcast to do the filming for the Cabo 500 race in April but then he wanted to make us partners in the race so there was no out of pocket expences on his part. We agreed then he put ALL the sponsor aquisition on our shoulders and said he refused to sign a partnership agreement until we brought sponsor money to the table.

Just sounded a little fishy to us so I put some of my marketing guys on diging up info on Mr. Overcast and have gotten ALOT of Bad stuff and Alot of good stuff too.

You can check out www.speedtraptv.com for info on our company and assure yourself that I am NOT Mr. Overcast.

Thanks

There have been many negative comments about Mr. Overcast over the years. Whether they are true or not, I can't say. However, David K's suggestion regarding a search of the archives is a good one.

Mr. Stevens. Want to come out and play?

My only contact with Mike Overcast was through a thread on this site in which he was bad-mouthing Celia Diaz and the Binational Emergency Committee and I called him on it. I think that the thread was removed shortly after our exchange. The guy is a self promoting jerk.

Souds like the SAME impression we have of Mr. Overcast. It only sounds like he wants to be the one making money and wants everyone else to make it for him due to the fact he cant make it on his own!!!:o

Here is the info on our TV series for anyone that is still questioning my validity.

We were made aware of a programing change on Friday the 9th. Speedtrap TV will not be shown until Dec 17th at 8PM PST and 11PM EST. They made this choice due to the fact that the SCORE Baja 500 Episode would have been airing at the same time on another network OLN so they moved the time slot to keep ratings up. Because of this change the program guide will not show Speedtrap TV it will either show Newave Motorsports Hour or ASA Speed Truck Challenge. The next airing for Speedtrap will be on the 24th at the same times. We are very sorry for any confusion.

Thanks
