I just wish I had met JR

I keep seeing this comment and it caused me to start thinking (a senior exercise that I try to do every six months or so) and I thought that it might be wonderful if many of you who have seldom or never met the fun folks on this forum wandered down to the Pyramid Resort--run by Keri, a nomad. She puts on a Baja Authors Book Signing Event every year in May, the next one will be May 6, 2006. We always have a bunch of nomads show up to check out the latest books and visit with each other. Beer, wine and other goodies during the day and a Potluck and Tequila tasting event in the evening.
For those of you in the San Diego area you can drive down in the morning and return home--NO TEQUILA TASTING--in the evening. For others you can make reservations and stay at one of the nicest resorts in Baja Norte.

I'm sure that Keri will follow this suggestion up with more information for anyone who wants it.
Just an idea!!!

Sharksbaja, That's where many of us originally met JR, at the book signing. As Bernie says, it's a great event with many authors and sellers and friends, nomads and otherwise that are just there to meet folks and visit and laugh.

Frank, - If we don't meet before then, I'll sign your book for you then! Hopefully before... -

Meeting and signing

Cool, I hope to make it one day. WE have a strong traditional Christmas here and the family votes to stay.

Two years ago we were in BOLA the days after Xmas. We had a great time but THAT winter it was pretty darn cold. AS we tried to outrun the weather by heading even further south it caught up every evening. Got as far as Pta. Chivato. Brrrrrrrrrr. The kids were a bit put off but we DID have fun.

Maybe JR would have been easier on ya if you hadn't mentioned BOLA. :lol: For some reason I could never understand, he resented the group from there hangin' out together. You guys really fueled him by takling THAT personally. CCGs? I don't miss that however.:lol:

Happy Holidays, Corky

PS, and no clucking!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Yes, here is when I met JR in May, 2003... By the way, please (everyone) click on the link to VivaBaja.com below, not just to see my many trip pictures, but to see your fellow Baja nuts!

I have photos from all of the Pyramid Resort events (3 of them), the BBBB events (3 of the 4), and my Viva Baja events (4 of them). Also, the two Matomi group trips ('01 and '04) have several of us together.

Here is JR at the first booksigning...

Yes Dave, that is correct... I also didn't ID the other two in the photo: On the left is author 'Baja Bernie' and in the center is author Larry Stanton ...
