I just tried to call Suzann's house
There was no anwser (not a line out of order signal) so if you see her, you can tell her that as of 4:30pm the house must still be there.

Just when we thought it was safe.....
I hear a HONK HONK WHOOP WHOOP of an emergency vehicle and a loud speaker saying "YOU ARE BEING ADVISED TO PREPARE FOR A POSSIBLE EVACUATION...THIS
IS AN ADVISORY ONLY.... DUE TO POSSIBLE HIGH WINDS LATER TODAY"
What the @?? Where were they when we could see flames from the house? I went up to my lookout spot and this time the threat is the Paradise Fire
which is the one to the north. It's a long ways off and the wind is now blowing it away. One neighbor said that CDF or whoever really
caught hell for not warning people so they grabbed some border patrol guys and sent them to my neighborhood to scare the daylights outta us.
I would think that Georock would go straight to her family and I don't expect to hear from her until later. She would have access to my computer to
post, so stay tuned. If she finds accomodations that are more convenient, I'll post in her stead.
I've heard there has now been one FF fatality and 3 in the burn unit. It just keeps getting worse.
As I type this they just announced a 3. something earthquake in Simi Valley.
Mike & MA????
Now they say no evac for me in Ramona...Geez... I can't type as fast as the news comes in..
Over & OUT!

Okay.....
All is well, it was about a 3.7 or 3.9 MA says, MA says she saw our posts and was about to respond when she heard the phone ring and knew it was me.
This whole fire thing reminds me of BajaBus's "Juliet" reports. Thanks everyone. It is hard to be so far away and have so many friends in danger.
Jeans, it might be time for you to go, please don't take a risk.
Now if Georock would check in! PLEASE!

A Little Bump
I was sitting at our dining room table talking to a friend who had just come home to Glendale from Yosemite last night. She was checking to make sure
we were O.K. All of a sudden the table began to do a rolling wavy thing. I asked my friend if we were having an earthquake. Then both our boys came
running to announce an earthquake. I figure it's just a little bump to remind us that we are lucky enough to still be here in our home when we have
burned out moonscape literally 360 degrees around us.
Isn't Mother Nature something!!?
