We return to El Marmol and find the bees have gone, so we can explore freely...
The name on the truck door was hard to figure out, but on the photo it is clearly 'ESTERO BEACH'!

On our way back to El Rosario we got inspected by the check point boys... funny to see two of them in the back of my truck, in the bed... looking at
my ice chest and camping box... while two looked inside... They were bored... Just like the ones at Gonzaga Bay... Even looked at my ID and wrote my
name in his clip board.
We went to La Bocana Beach restaurant (Map #27, in front of the Sinahi Motel) for a fabulous garlic shrimp dinner! The owner goes by the nick name
'Primo' and sat with us... He doesn't speak any English, so it is a good chance to practice Spanish.
By the way, that Saturday morning we had breakfast at Baja's Best (Map #38)... It is quite good always (an no flys with the colder weather).
Sunday, we had a late breakfast at Antojitos Mexicanos Betty (Map #13), we both ordered the huevos con machaca and it was really, really good! That
was the first time eating there.
This Map is going to get updated with milages every 1/10th shown next to the business listing... The Km. 57 marker was moved and now is 4/10ths a mile
off (from near the Pemex to about #11)! Baja Stone restaurant (#5) is now Tacos el Poblano... Until version 3.0 is done, here is version 2.0...

Half Way House
Sunday night, we went to our new favorite hide away restaurant... Chef Johnny's Half Way House (between Cantamar and Plaza del Mar/Pyramid Resort on
the free road).
Johnny comes to your table and describes his specials for the night or will taylor make a fabulous meal for you!
His filet of beef is available with three types of sauces (pepper corn, mushroom, or escagot) per the menu... His latest creation is to offer all
three combined... which is what I enjoyed (along with a Mexicali beer)... He was pondering what to call the new dish... I suggested 'Filet El
Presidente' noting Johnny was the chef to Mexico's president!

Baja Angel remembered fondly the custom made lobster (with garlic) from last time... It isn't on the menu... it was fantastic! Johnny knows how to
cook lobster (most overcook them) so that they are tender and sweet... no butter needed with just the garlic topping... The wine was excellent.

We sat in the main dinning room, next to the fireplace... We were the only ones there but two other parties arrived later...
