Favorite Beverage, I forgot to mention the indigenous indian tea

The seven citrus tea that the Kumayeeay Indians in Baja put together is a an awesome addition to a healthy diet.

You can buy it in the Comercial Mexicana and the Calimax.

Drinking it regularly lowers cholesterol and blood pressure - it's good stuff.

I brew a teapot full and leave on the counter for the family; it tastes good at room temperatue or reheated.

Tastes great hot, cold, lukewarm

and less filling.

I make a pot that we drink down through the day.

The flavor is mild, no sweeteners needed (at least, to our taste).

The only thing is, if the pot stands around for more than a day in warm weather, the tea will start to grow mold on the surface.

All natural citrus products

which don't contain caffeine, as far as I know. The name on on brown bag is "Siete Azahares", i.e., seven citrus.

The contents kind of look like the stuff you pick up from your yard; our British friends who I ship this stuff to call it "twig tea".

There is a proper list on the bag of the ingredients in Spanish; I think I've identified one as loquat (or maybe kumquat, I give up), I just know that it tastes good and we like it.

Don't want to be picky but are there any tea leaves in it? And if not, why would you call it tea?

I don't think tea is grown in Mexico. In fact, I'm pretty sure of it.

No problem, I don't think you are being picky

I may have misused the phrase "tea", since I have been drinking herbal "tea" for so many years.

What follows herewith is what is printed on the brown paper bag:

LA CASA DEL AMULET
PLANTAS MEDICINALES

La Naturaleza es su Medicina
APROVECHALA!

7 AZAHARES
TIZANA BETEL
Para alta presion, nervios, dolo de cabeza, insomnio, ataques al corazon.

My current bag of tea doesn't detail the contents, but the others did - strictly citrus products.
