Moving to Cabo soon... any advice please~

My fiance and I, with another couple are moving to the Cabo area toward the end of this year. We are in our 30's, and going to be getting into real estate. Any advice on what to prepare, where to live, buy a car down there or u.s., etc would be so much appreiciated... do you know of the best forum to ask questions for people's experience? also, advice on working with real estate outfit would be really nice too. We want to be close to the ocean, and dog friendly

Thank you!!!

Mike and Jen

It sounds like you are starting from ZERO. Have you done any research on the area? Have you been there? What you ask in very general terms could be answered in volumnes. Get a bit more specific and I am sure you will get a lot more replies. Good Luck.......

I would make sure that at least one person in each couple has a job beforehand.
I understand that housing is a problem...not enough.
I would come down before season(Nov) and secure housing. If you will sign a year lease you will have a better chance of finding something.
You know that you must have a permit to work here, I assume.

You will find plenty of same-minded folks seeking the same lifestyle. Have you considered Cancun, Honolulu or Malibu CA. Seems Cabo is all the above only they speak more Spanish in Malibu:lol:

news flash:

customer informs me that $14 USD is an average in town price for a Margarita. And not great ones!:wow:

Correction! I was told later that that was at a hotel bar.

I have to say that I once paid $12 for a margarita in Cabo. It tasted like hell. Oh well. Please forgive me....
