la gringa closing

There was a post a while ago about La Gringa in LA Bay being fenced off - - It seems there was a boundary dispute between a couple of ejido members in this area so they deliniated their land with a fence, however because "La Gringa" camping area is federal land, a gate has been installed and is always open - over spring break there were numerous campers in that area. fyi

Thats a good question! It has always been a free area - I guess you have to drive through someone's land to get to it! Bummer

actually, the latest word is that Escalera Nautica will not go away, and the marina will be at La Gringa, but there will only be slips for 15 boats not 500!
