Goodbye to US Marine John Vera - Baja style!

US Marine John Vera and family are going to be stationed in Hawai'i in June, and he agreed to a 4WD run and Lobster feast at Puerto Nuevo (or Popotla) on May 6th.

Goodbye John Vera webpage

Since we're covering John (and family's) expenses for their Lobster dinner, I'd like to extend a thanks to Nomad Wayne of B&B Bait & Tackle for his donation to John Vera's Baja dinner.

After 4WD running trails and showing off for each other on the Cantamar Sand Dunes, we will travel 5 miles south to the 4th Annual Pyramid Resorts Baja Book Authors event [http://vivabaja.com/book3/] where US Marine John Vera will be recognized and congratulated by leading Baja book authors who also have a few plans up their sleeve for John and little Paige as a gesture of gratitude and kindness for what he is doing for our country. Then, we plan to drive back up to either Puerto Nuevo (Lobster Village) [http://www.bajanomad.com/articles/pnuevo.htm]or Popotla where John and Paige will enjoy an all-expenses covered Lobster dinner.

Thanks to the Nomads for helping with John's sendoff party. We'll see you at the Pyramid Resort for the Baja Book Authors party!

Will do. The B&B Bait & Tackle bumpersticker is a laugh. It reads, "Where All The Masterbaiters Come!" :O:lol:

Mexray sent a crisp $5 bill, and a bundle of "Baja Time" oval stickers to pass around to the guys. Included was the note from Ray stating,

"Thanks for all your efforts on John's behalf...'our' military guys deserve all the good stuff we can lay on them! I wasn't a 'Jarhead', but I had plenty of great Marine buddies when I was in the Navy, years ago...bless em' all!"

John and everyone involved in our Nomad Operation Gratitude thank you, Ray!
