USE FOR OLD VHF RADIOS

Since the recent VHF thread got so much attention, I thought many of you may have old radios lying about (if they haven't been confiscated!!). My husband is one of the only radio technicians on this part of the coast and the fishermen rely on him to keep their radios working...only problem is there are no parts to be found here so it would be terrific if anyone has old or broken radios they could save for us so we could help our amigos out. Many fishermen here have very old radios and could use old spare parts. We even use old radios we found at the dump as sometimes a speaker, or microphone or components still work. Help us help them and as is the onda here in baja, what goes around comes around! thanks nomads:light:
