Panga day trip w/pictures

Paula and I went on a panga trip with Chema Murillo on the Azteca. The destination: a beach on Isla del Carmen.

But first, a little fishing. The weather was wonderful, little early morning wind, no waves. We saw a marlin, then a sailfish, but they weren't interested. We saw no birds, and no sargasso. Uh oh...

So we pretended we were the yellow airplane or speaker cars blaring messages all over Loreto. We told the truth at first-"Free Fish!"-but that didn't work. So we lied. "Free breakfast burritos! Free fried eggs! Huevos rancheros!"

They fell for " Mucho Tocino, gratis!"

Good photo, Paula! And Paula got one too:

I was going to submit this one to the IGFA as a new world record:

But it was not eligible, because we lied about the free bacon. And also because it wasn't big enough. :)

Time to head in to the beach. The dolphin led the way...

Then, the beach, at Arroyo Blanco...

Lotsa lizards there

Paula went snorkeling

Adios, amigos!

Great report, Don.

How do you get it all to come in one post. I tried putting it all in Word but it was too big a file....what is your secret?

How he does it

Those are all links to images that sit on his own website, Judy. When you drag your mouse over the pictures explorer will tell you the URL where his images are stored. You can access each picture by itself by typing that URL in your address box of your Internet Explorer.
