Silence of Baja

Here is another scribbling from a guy who is missing Mi Baja.

Silence of Baja

Orange-red sun awakening
Driving away the dawn
Chasing away the shadows

Bursting forth
Rushing into the sky
Over the Vermillion Sea

A land of silence
Harshness
And sudden change

Clouds forming slowly
Over islands
Moving rapidly onto land

Keening of the wind
Hackles rise
Assaulting the senses

The shriek?..of a hurricane
Crashing on shore
Wind and rain

Once dry arroyos
Flowing full
Boiling out to sea

A land of silence
Harshness
And pain
