WATER FINALLY WARMED UP IN ASUNCION

Just wanted to let ya all know that one great thing about the chubasco that just grazed us here is that is brought the warm water up with it. We went for a lovely swim last evening and it was the perfect refreshing temperature. I finally got to boogey board without shivering! And dont forget the traditional fiestas are coming up Aug.11-15 with lots of fun activities. Also the yellow tail are showing and halibut are being caught here as well.

Jim-yes there is halibut in the area. And, the yellowtail fishing is really supposed to pick up then. Finally, lobster season opens in October. What more could you ask for?

Hola Jim, talkin about halibut, my husband speared 3 nice ones in San Roque yesterday and said there were loads of them just off the beach. They were yummy barbecued. In October, which is an awesome month here, there should be lots of yellow tail from here to San Pablo and corvina but unfortunately halibut is a short season here and gets scarce in October. If ya stay in San Roque, the locals ply you with lobster!
