Ensenada Sportfishing
This year is perhaps the most consistant Dorado bite Ensenada has seen in 15 years.

I decided to get in the game by building a boat strickly designed for Ensenada Sportfishing.
She is now booked solid on weekends for this season.

I assume that pic is from a sportboat, with enough anglers on board that all legal limits were observed.
I suppose pics showing that many dead fish piled up may be good advertising for a sportboat or charter business. But consider that sportfishing is
facing significant social and political opposition. Pics of big piles of dead fish fuel the opposition.
But that's just my opinion, coming from a fisherman who thinks we're killing too many fish.

How long have those fish been lying on the deck in the hot sun? I think I'd pass on your tacos.
And on your other thread today you suggest that an aparent out break of crime in your area should not be mentioned to tourists.

Fish Pile Picture. Not good. Hard to complain about commercial boats taking too many fish if sports boats are doing this day after day.

How much of that pile was put to good use??
At least a commercial would have:
a) Fed a bunch of people
b) paid his rent
c) bought his kid some new shoes..
I would love to continue, but, the weather is flat and my kid needs some new shoes for first grade next week..gotta go start a pile...hi ho hi ho.

Sportboats, charterboats and pangas have captains and crew too. They take far fewer fish than the commercials, and earn enough to buy far more than
shoes, or to just pay the rent. I handed some Loreto pangeros over 8000 pesos in one week a while back and I took two or three fish. And I don't dare
estimate the cost of the tackle I used 'cause my wife reads this. 
A commercial was just busted at Santa Rosalia with 7 tons of illegal dorado. 7 tons! And all illegal. I'd like to see a picture of that pile, just for
perspective.
So, OK, when a guy posts a picture like that, go ahead, slam the sport fishermen. That picture's proof, IMO, that at least some of us have it coming.
But it does not justify the current commercial system that's destroying fisheries for tennis shoes.
Yep, fishing politics sure brings out the crabby curmudgoen in me.

7 tons! That's a serious pile of fish. Dorado, AKA Mahi-Mahi(spell check?) isn't a cheap breed of fish, $5+/lb. /filet down in the USA, if you can get
it. The boats probably get about $1/lb. for the whole fish. Still adds up to close to $14 K for that load. My math is fuzzy. but in the ball park. All
the new electronics ect. are making it easier to find and catch the fish. They can run but they can't hide or escape.

I heard about CPR (Catch, Photograph & Release)... but they need to be still alive for this to work!
Honestly from the looks of the deck and rail, seems to be a big boat, not a panga... i.e. lots of fishermen... makes a good promo picture for
attracting fishermen.
The rest of you never had a burger or carne asada? At least dead fish are nicer to view than dead cattle...
