BajaNomad Anniversary...

...I see by a quick look at the 'Member List', located above, that it's coming up on my 4th anniversary (8/30/02) here on the 'ONLY' real Baja California Board!

Doug's already passed his 4th (8/1/02)...where do I send your 'official' 4th anniversary gift, which has been listed as an 'Appliance'. I've been trying to think of something fitting for Doug's 'Appliance'...

I think I've got an old blender around here, the blades are dull, but the motor still turns when you bang it on the counter! Or, maybe an old battery-powered fly swatter - I'll scrape off the old, dried carcases' before mailing! Then it might be one of Ronco's rotisserie cookers - I think the burnt Opossum smell has finally gone away! Ah, decisions, decisions!

In any event, Happy 4th Anniversary to Doug and all the many, many other great Baja Nomad contributors out there in Si-ber-space.

Thanks Doug for keeping your 'Baja Party' going for 4 years...a toast to many more. It just wouldn't be as much fun without all your efforts! Luv ya' man!:o

I wouldn't have even noticed the "anniversary" of the forums... so, thanks for noticing and pointing it out.

:wow: :wow: :wow:

Ditto on my end

A check-in on Nomads is part of the routine virtually EVERY time I go on line. It is like a sort of family. Witness how we grieve when we lose one of our own that we didn't even know. Another wonder of the www. Thanks Doug, and thanks to all. (OK there are a couple of exceptions):lol::lol:

Me tooooo.

My 4 year anniversary is also on Aug 30th. My birthday is Aug 26, so I have lots to celebrate in August. Well, only 2 more BIRTHAY celebrations to go, then I'm going to quit having birthdays. 50 of them is enough, so I'll just continue to celebrate my Nomads birthday. Better.

The only reason my 4th. isn't sooner than Oct. 31 was that I was in Baja and didn't get the word to register

Thanks, Thanks a million Doug! You and "M" (who pointed the way) gave us a home just when we were wandering and lost wondering just where to go to find our friends.

P: just can't wait to see what art project you turn that blender into!

And M......no, 50 Birthdays are not enough, I've alread had 51, (52nd coming soon) and tho I move alittle slower, am a little fatter and flabber, it's still (mostly) all good, just takes me alittle longer to unpack the Baja rig! OUCH!

If you click on Member List (on the top of each page of Nomad) you can see when all Nomads registered... After Doug started this new forum (there was an earlier Baja Nomad board) the first Nomads (who are still around) all registered on August 30th or later.
