Aero Mex abandones SAN & LAX to Loreto

Aero MEX just told me that the only flights still available from SAN to LTO are the 14th & 17th of Sept. and the 5th, 8th & 29th of Oct. Out of SAN and none out of LAX. Told me to contact my travel agent for a refund for my two outstanding reservations that dont fall on these days. This is all Loreto needs A.M. canceling service! The only choice is to fly out of T.J. thru Hermisillo at a somewhat higher price or go to LAX and Alaska and not as friendly schedule. Bummer! Not enough to have the storm, now less availability for tourist. I asked them why, and "not enough passengers" was the answer.
I've talked to people in Loreto and it seems they faired much better than others. It's a bad deal all around.

Phil this is not related to the hurricane. It was planned because September is lowest of the low season and I know because I tried too book a trip form my spouse before the storm. I always close my shop in September because of it. Alaska canceled Sunday's flights because arroyos between the airport at both ends were not crossable but yesterday Alaska flew in and out (delayed by 3 hours) and the Hermosillo flight came in and out on Monday and Tuesday too.

Pam, I see that this post has been confused with the storm. The routs have been abandoned, discontinued etc. My reservations were for Nov. and Dec. I was offered a trade in flights, which I took on the dates above. Other friends that had tickets for the third week in Sept. were contacted two weeks ago, before the storm, and had thier flights cancled as well. These flights will not resume is the way I understand it, I hope I'm wrong. Why would they cancel the flights in mid Nov. with the 1000 coming thru Loreto? The place will be packed. Just try and make a reservation....or better yet, call them. Again, I hope I'm wrong about this, but this is the information I'm getting.
