US to Mulege anyone ? ?

Is anyone driving from the US to Mulege anytime soon?

I have a couple of boxes of school supplies collected that I would like to send down to students in need... (can be two orange-box sized boxes or 3 smaller ones) pencils, pens, paper, markers, notebooks, scissors, colored pencils, backpacks, etc. etc.

I would be happy to ship them to you UPS if you'd be willing to deliver them to Mulege - likely the fire station or perhaps to my friend Bruce's place....

Best,
djh

Its all just stuff and some numbers.

DJH- We'v got a convoy leaving on the 18th. I can get that on sombody's truck or trailer if you ship it to:
Mike Fleming
11860 Kemper Road #3
Auburn, CA 95603
530.823.6917

And I'll see that it gets distributed to the right folks. I think the best conduit for that would the be Trabajadora Social, social worker, at one of the schools. I know the ones at Secundaria and CECYTE (high school), Letticia Cota and Letticia Osuna, as they help us on our program. Their job description is know the condition of familias and to direct various forms of aid, and its a small enough town they'll know who had how much water and lost how much stuff.

Mike. A lot of the people are talking about another storm that might be comming in, and I said this in another thread. But since you are up here, you may want to think about doing this

At sams and walmart in Tijuana, and most likely in Ensenada they sell water purification drops. they are cheap, and they work. they are from a company in the US. I have used them before.

You might want to consider grabbing a bunch, and taking them south. Another storm down there could cause all sorts of problems.

Good luck and have a safe trip.
