photo mosaic------but the off shore barrier island tends to blow that theory-------

as a tequila drinker i think its that dang gost again it has escaped out of a bottle i had it in and been showing up where ever tequila is being drank

It's a result of the two adjoining panes being photographed at diffferent times. In the northern, greener photo, the bay/lagoon was flooded, perhaps
by high tides or runnoff from rain. If you look carefully at the southern, browner pane (you have to run Google Earth and zoom in some), you can see
the outline of a sandier areea prone to periodic flooding that is a perfect fit to the neighboring pane.
Placing a flooded lagoon pic alongside one with the lagoon dry makes the unnatural looking straight edge.

So there we were, driving along, enjoying a beautiful day on the beach in Baja sur. All of a sudden the beach dropped off and we were floating in 6'
of water !! I swear; it really does that !! No kidding !! Don't try it !!

It's always interesting to consider why certain photo panes get updated when they do. It definitely seems that some of it is driven by population and
maybe by development potential.
Anyone know if there is some method to their update schedule ?
