A huge thank you
To all the folks herein that contributed and donated to the fund I set up.
Without getting into much detail I'd just like to say that the Fire Dept was thrilled with the equipment that I delivered to Mulege.
Bruce has some pics and hopefully he will post those here for you sometime. As far as my desire to achieve stardom here, I realize that as a source
of Baja news and current affairs this board is #1.
I got over my forum addiction while in Mexico and had an epiphany. Needless to say, I made a (real) friend or two from all this interaction. I've
also been let down. But that's just human nature. Just another lesson in life.
Most of all, be true to yourself. If you think that you are in the comfort of friends, think again sometimes. Their words may comfort you but their
many hollow words will haunt you later.
I feel accomplished because I did something tangible and real for Baja. That, with the help of others makes me feel good. Thanks again.
Hasta la vista BABY! Corky

Sharks,
Thanks for your wonderful intentions and efforts in creating the funds and delivering the "goods" to those who needed it. We know who you are !!
Just remember the charitable guy who knocked on a stranger's door and handed over $10,000 cash. They called the cops thinking he was either nuts or a
crook.
Edit:
Oh yeh; when the cops came they arrested the homeowners for unpaid parking fines as well as the charitable guy. The $10,000 dissapeared and the
charitable guy was beaten to death on the way to the jail.

Absolutely Diver
Bruce was instrumental in the direction and delivery of the goods. He knows how much I appreciate his help. He is a "real" friend.
As I just received the photos I wish to share them.
THese tools will help the bomberos the ability to pump high volumes of water for fires and floods and also the capacity to pump solids like mud, sand
and poo poo if necessary.
The sign reads "Gracias Baja Nomads"
You should feel proud.

Corky...
...Thanks for all your hero-like efforts, especially in view of your having to dig out your own place in Mulege! Most of us wouldn't have the enegry
to take on the task! Let's hope we all don't have to face such emergencies in Mulege for many moons to come!
Well done, Baja Nomad Amigo!

Corky, You've done so much for others.....may divine retribution see you house fully restored as it was before the flood. I'll be there for the party.
Bruce, best of luck to you and your family in your move up north. We'll miss you.

Lot's om Nomads deserve a big thank you on this one but Sharksbaja matched most of the Money sent by other Nomads and went and bought the things and
brought them down. there is somewhere around 5,000 dollars worth of stuff there. and the men at the fire Department were just floored by the gifts to
them. they could not believe that the Nomads would be so good to them.
