Does anyone have any comments about staying at the El Cid motel in Ensenada?

We have stayed there twice before. It is right in the middle of the tourist district on Ave Lopez, and it gives you the feeling of being in the thick of the action. I believe it cost around 50 per night. The rooms are clean with somewhat rustic furnishings. The parking is good. It is a good place to crash after a night of partying in Ensenada. I really thought those concrete pots by each door filled with sand and perfectly imprinted with the name El Cid looked pretty cool. Since there is no real beach, or beachfront hotel for the matter, in Ensenada Centro, I would not hesitate to consider El Cid my first choice for a hotel while in town. It was fun to have one of the rooms in front with the balcony facing the street on cruising night. My single friends just had a ball ogling over all of those cars filled with young women.

Be Careful

We had our Jeep broken into in their basement garage in broad daylight...so be careful not to leave anything in your car!

May the wind at your back not be your own.
