San Felipe New Year's Turkey Feast

Hello Nomads,
After years of lurking I've finally registered just to extend you all an invite to Bajalou and Teinatoo"s 11th Annual Turkey Smoke on Dec. 31st at noon. If you are in the area come on by and share in the fun.
Here is a link to the Wiki page about it so you can check out the scene in advance.

Looking forward to meeting more Baja enthusiasts .

With minnow asking where everyone will be over the holidays, thought I'd bring this one back up for anyone that will be in the San Felipe area on Dec 31st. We'd really love to have you show up and enjoy the turkey feast.

Saw a recipe in the paper yesterday for Spam Muffins. Trying to get Shirley to make them for the turkey feast.

For all who think they might attend, it would be helpful for you to know the location here in El Dorado. We are at Los Viajeros South (6150) Block 8, Lot 15-16. Security at the entrance might ask where you're going so give them this address. Wells party.

Driving directions, West on Zoo Rd (Saltito Rd) just south of the Rocadille sign. Go west approx. 3 miles to the sign "Los Viajeros South), turn left about 1/2 mile and you will see it on the left. Park wherever you find a spot and Welcome.

GPS 31d05.444 min 114d55.918 min

Any qustions, Email me at bajalou@gmail.com

It Happened

The 11th annual Turkey Smoke and Feast was a success--

With about 250-260 getting their fill of turkey and all the trimmings, the yard was

pretty full.

But with the couple dozen volinteers that showed up to help with gathering stuff,

setting up, cooking, carving, serving and the BIG job of cleanup/dishwashing it all

went off smothly. Our thanks to all of you.

To all of you that were caught by the "Bug" and couldn't make it - wish you were

here.

Maybe we'll see the rest of the Nomads next year

Outstanding. It just gets bigger and better. What a great way for Nomads and friends to get together, especially when the weather cooperates.
