Watch carefully my Baja friends

for you never know who trod this earth with you.

In Plautus (Bacchides iv. 8, 54) Summanus and the verb summanare are used for the god of thieves and the act of stealing, with obvious reference to Summanus as a god of night, a time favorable to thieves and their business.

OR Summanus was the god of nocturnal thunder.

You take it from here. I was just curious about a name attached to a person whom I very much enjoy reading here on Nomad.

;D-got my Nickname after a dive with a new friend in the Red Sea, she referred to my Underwater Movements as Butterfly like - like dancing from Reef to Reef, and then hanging in there motionless for a while in the blue - before moving on.
All the other meaning of this name - I leave to peoples Fantasy!

Bernie, you must be building up material for another book?

Hold on just a minute. I have been assuming that Summanus, Roman God of Nightly Thunder, referred to simple flatulence. Where did I go astray?

Ken

I smelled (thought) the same until I researched the name and found that there was much more depth in the person that assumed it than I originally understood.

It is always nice to discover that.

Thunder God, Picture a book cover graphically depicting Ken's comment...............doubt that it would be a best seller

BUT as a bano book it would be a blast!

Bernie..

My bathroom (the library!) shelves are overflowing now.

These 'noises' could be from shari's earthquakes as foretold by her mystic prophet, but I am not a pantomancer...one who sees omens in every event.

As for as all this flatuence...I am obmutescent, preferring silence and avoid noise; rather than metapneustic or having one’s respiratory organs in one’s butt. All this and I get to be a paralian who loves living next to the sea....where nightly thunder happens every now and then.
