Watch out for dunes on Vizcaino-Asucion road

Watch out for this dune just before the turnoff on the paved road from Vizcaino to Asuncion...it's a doozie...they clear it off every once in awhile but it's back within a week and you have to go around it. Also, the pot holes on the paved part are really bad right now so go slow and watch out!

That dune is another reason for not driving at night---would be a real surprise in the dark.:yes:

Last trip we were fortunate to have a local driving in front of us who knew every single place where the road was in bad shape. Made is easier for us.

We have travelled to Shari & Juan's both times at night, scared the poop out of us those big dunes.

I've driven around that dune a few times !!
Better sand than snow !!

Daylight driving is the only way to avoid those potholes over 30mph !
We rated sections for class 1, class 2, etc... There are some class 5 sections out there !!
