Quick road trip Asuncion-Sta.Rosalia...DANGER...BAJA 1000 DRIVERS ON THE LOOSE CREATING HAVOC ON THE HIGHWAY

Just to let any travellers know the next few days, they had better fill up at every Pemex they can because there are shortages all over the baja due to the Baja 1000 race sucking up all the fuel. We had to wait in San Ignacio for fuel to get there...also watch out for those race guys with trailers who drive way toooooo fast and swerve all over the road scaring the crap out of other drivers. Best not to drive...we encountered hundreds of vehicles all heading north lickety split...passing like maniacs...and lots of near misses....so mucho cuidado amigos. The road was not too bad to vizcaino but still lots of potholes in one section by the salt flats...the highway is in great shape.

It's too bad that a handful of careless drivers can put a guilt by association tag on the racing community.

I think it was just bad timing, everyone is racing north and we encountered hundreds of vehicles...ALL driving very fast! definately exceeding the speed limit. I just wanted to warn drivers to be EXTRA cautious
