San Ignacio Lagoon

We found out that there are whales in San Ignacio Lagoon as late as March 22nd, at least this year. Not just any whales either, big momma whales with little baby whales that want to touched! It was a great experience.

Can't wait to do it again!!!

If you hurry you can still see Whales......

Last year MA and I were there the first week of April...it was great, (we had a mom and baby hang out and tease us for a good hour), we were told by the locals that this is a good time because the males have left and the cows and babes are still hanging around and are much more relaxed and willing to play.

My buddy and I went whale watching the morning of the 23rd. We used Antonio's Ecotours. It was 40 bucks per person and the expericne has touched me forever. It was better than I ever imagined. I touched lots of whales and like it was said above the youngsters were really into it and the mommas are BIG! I'll try and post pics soon, in development now.
