Not necessarily. There are quite a few places that are left unoccupied in areas of the Baja that need renters.
I don't think you will be forcing anyone to build. ;-)
Some vegans only eat plants that have already died. --such as fruit that has fallen from the tree etc.
You don't have to kill a plant to eat it. You can wait till it is already dead and then eat it. :-)

I vaguely recall an American Indian tribe that only ate fruit....tough way to make a living I imagine though... I bet they still walked over some nice flowers to get to the fruit of the trees!!
