Nightlife in La Paz

What is the nightlife in La Paz like? Do bars have live music or is it mostly restaurants with bars connected to them? Any suggestions on food/bars that are a hit in La Paz? Thank You

LaPaz restaraunts

On our occational visits to LaPaz from Loreto/Nopolo, over the past eleven years, we've found the following to be great for our taste buds: La Pasta Restaraunt around the corner from Los Arcos next to the Mediterranee Hotel, on Calle Allende. On the malecon that extends out to the condo's downtown, is the Coral Restaraunt. Tables on the seawall. Owners name is Jesus. Right downtown on Esquerro St. is Le Bistrot Francis Restaraunt. Courtyard setting. Excellent food, reasonable price. It is a French influenced menu if you like variety once in awhile. Hopefully some of the locals will also give you further recommendations. I know I'll be watching for them.
