Titan to build tire recycling plant in Tijuana

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (April 14) -- Titan Technologies Inc. will construct three tire recycling facilities in Mexico, which will process some 45,000 scrap tires per day, the company said April 14.
International Tire Recycling, a Texas company, will operate the facilities, which will be in Nuevo Laredo, Juarez and Tijuana. They will target the millions of used tires sold in Mexico over the last 60 years that have been used on Mexican vehicles and discarded, Titan President Ronald Wilder said.

The three plants will produce 63,000 gallons of oil, 270,000 pounds of carbon black and 45 tons of steel per day.
