Cemex

In the interest of posting some positive construction news, which is a subject dear to my heart......(We are Excavation Contractors)

Cemex (NYSE:CX) has been in the news lately, and has recently been listed as a 5 Star Stock.

CEO Lorenzo Zembrano presides over the world's largest building materials supplier which was founded in 1906 in Hidalgo as Cementos Mexicanos.

Many mergers later, fully 1/3 of Cemex's 150 billion dollars in sales are realized in Mexico. They currently have operations in 20 countries worldwide.

They caught my attention when my Oregon manhole and concrete pipe supplier Rinker was bought out in 2006 by Cemex to the tune of 12.5 billion. Wow.

So imagine my delight when the Cemex Putzmeister appeared back in February to pour the roof on our new Loreto "fishing shack".

She's a beauty!! :dudette:
