1962 Maps by Howard Gulick (Norte)


These excellent maps were made by Howard Gulick who spent years in Baja researching the land, people and history to produce the great 'Lower California Guidebook' in 1956, 1958, and 1962 editions. The 1964, 1967, and 1970 editions utilized the same 1962 maps... In 1954, Gulick produced maps showing the route of the 'El Camino Real' from Loreto to El Rosario... those are found at http://vivabaja.com/ECR

Here are the maps covering Baja California norte, as it was when many of us statred going to Baja... before the Transpeninsular Highway construction had begun!
