jr's Baja Smiles Notice May 21, 2004 - Spring Baja Drive of Joy & Smiles May 24th

Notice to the Elf in All of Us
===================

ELVES' SPRING CLEANING DRIVE CONTRIBUTES TO MAY 24th SLEIGH RIDE SOUTH TO BRING JOY & SMILES TO NEEDY REMOTE VILLAGES OF BAJA CALIFORNIA

May 21, 2004 -- Papa Noel (Santa Claus) arrives in different ways in different lands at all times of the year. And in the Baja on May 24th, 2004 one of Papa Noel's sleighs will come in the form of a truck and a trailer driven by jrbaja, the rambunctious baja nomad and big elf on Papa Noel's campus. And he needs your help to fill the big sleigh and trailer.

jrBaja would like to report that Papa Noel and number of his helper elves are gearing up for another Spring Baja Drive of Joy and Smiles trip south to certain remote areas and villages of the Baja on May 24th. And there is still some empty space to fill in the sleigh and trailer.

jrbaja says, "Many elves have been rooting and sorting out their basements and closets in recent weeks during their spring cleaning, and have found that many of the items that they planned to toss out are still worthy of bringing many smiles to those less fortunate. So if you would like to become a helper elf for this May 24th trip and enjoy the fruits of bringing huge smiles of joy to these remote and needy locations in the Baja, more help and elf support is always appreciated."

ELVES SPRING CLEANING AND SORTING:
If you are one of those elves that has been thinking about that spring cleaning task you have been putting off for months, then perhaps this can be a motivator to get excited to sort out those clothes, shoes, sports equipment and many items that have been gathering and taking up space in your closets and basement rooms.

The spirit of being an elf is in all of us. If you've been putting that Spring Cleaning off, wait no longer, as jrbaja says the big Baja sleigh (with a trailer) is gearing and gathering up items to fill the empty space, and it will be heading south on May 24th. Get mobile and do that important spring cleaning today, as jrbaja on Papa Noel's sleigh and his helper elves is passing by your area on this joyful trip south to the remote villages of the Baja.

CALL FOR MORE HELPER ELVES
Papa Noel has many elves and helpers to spread joy and bring smiles to the less fortunate. Many such elves including but not limited to jrbaja, Skeet/Loreto, David K, Tim, Stephanie, and many others are busy helping Papa Noel on a regular basis, but they need some campadre elves to help them out. The more Baja elves the merry. Become a helper Baja Elf and help Papa Noel spread some joy in those needy villages and remote communities of the Baja by contacting jrbaja, David K, Skeet/Loreto and the other helper elves that will be posting their contact information and photos and recent trip reports from previous Baja Drives of Joy & Smiles south to Baja below.

RECENT SMILES OF JOY TRIP REPORT
jrbaja, the elf organizer and driver of the Spring Baja Drive of Joy and Smiles is leaving on May24th.

jrbaja would like to report that a recent drive south brought in many needy items and contributed to huge smiles and has uplifted the spirits of many people in the remote villages and needy communities of the Baja.

jrbaja, the rambunctious big elf on Papa Noel's campus says that Papa Noel's sleigh and trailer still has some empty space to fill. Let's make sure to fill that space up and deliver those all important smiles and joy.

NEEDY ITEMS LIST
The big sleigh and trailer are being filled with bicycles etc, and there is still empty space, so if anyone is interested in contributing goods or supplies to spread joy and smiles to the more remote and needy communities and villages in the Baja that rarely see visitors and tourism, please contact him at: u2u message: jrbaja and let him know how, when where the needy items can be dropped off for pickup along the route south to the Baja. jrbaja will do his best to get the items to those who need it most in the Baja.

jrbaja also reports that this is an ongoing project and has been greatly appreciated by many of the communities that don't attract tourism in the Baja. Thus, the more need they have for those smiles and joyful spirits.

List of needy and important items that can fill up the big sleigh and bring huge smiles of joy:

- School Supplies (pencils, notebooks, paint supplies, paper workbooks)

SAN LUIS GONZAGA CHOLLEROS CHAMPIONS

San Luis Gonzaga Cholleros are now baseball champions with the help from Baja Elves and recent drives of Joy that went south to deliver needy items.

Big elf jrbaja visited San Luis a couple weeks ago, and jrbaja reports that the smiles were contagious, huge and many in San Luis Gonzaga. The community has something to cheer about. The San Luis Gonzaga Cholleros baseball team that was recently outfitted with sports equipment from a recent elf drive south that brought the all important baseball championship to the community of San Luis Gonzaga. The championship was held in Ciudad Constitucion recently and the San Luis Gonzaga CHOLLEROS are proud baseball champions.

jrbaja would also like to report that a BIG THANKYOU has been sent from the CHOLLEROS to all those generous people (Baja Elves) that donated the rewarding Baseball Equipment from recent drives which helped them vastly in their quest to become chamions. It has become a real sense of accomplishment for the community.

ELVES SPRING CLEANING

jrbaja says, "So how long ya gonna put off those little chores. That old baseball bat or ball glove, or clothes or shoes tat you never wear are just waiting to be delivered to those who in need who can be brought smiles of joy which will surely uplift both their life and your spirits as a result of a Spring Cleaning task accomplished."

Just think! Your Spring Cleaning will be done and you can relax for the summer knowing that you helped to bring many smiles in the remote villages of the Baja because of the elf in you.

FOR THOSE ELVES THAT MIGHT MISS MAY 24th
And jrbaja says, "For those elves who can't get to things together before May 24th sleigh drive south, please take some smiles with you on your next trip south when you go. It is much appreciated."

Sincerely,

jrbaja for Papa Noel
:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

jrbaja reports, "In fact, just about all the communities down here can use help and donations. (medical and school supplies).
But because of my travels in the back country here, I am concentrating on helping the people who don't benefit from tourism. Most all the other areas have contact with the outside world and benefit from this. I am just making sure that the more remote areas benefit as well. Since I am there anyways. And besides, the foods better in the mountains!"

So if you have pots and pans and kitchen items to donate contact jrbaja soon. u2u message: jrbaja

It's all about smiles... just ask jrbaja

jrbaja: "The wonderful thing about it is that in spite of having no money and never having met each other, they (less fortunate remote vilagers) are both willing to help each other in any way they can."

Just look at this little girl's smile.
