Baja pinstripes

When we returned from our last trip, which included a run down to Las Animas, the F-150 was really striped down the side from the brushy side roads.
Baja Vida sent me over to Lupe, the neighborhood backyard auto detailer.
Wow, I now have a brand new truck. Almost hate to take it off the road now. (But, then again, that is why we buy trucks, isn't it?)
Anyway, it is really amazing how the new clear-coat finishes withstand the rigors of superficial abuse.
A good rule of thumb, if you can slide your fingernail across the stripe it will probably buff out, if your nail "stubs" in the stripe you probably will have it as a permanent memory.

COLOR BACK? That's what I use on my hair! uh, scalp.

I'm proud of my Baja pinstripes and leave them on my Tacoma for lesser mortals to admire.

Pin stripes removal

We will have to ask Baja Vida to inquire with his man Lupe as to his technique.
He did say that he went over it 3 times before he got it right.
There were traces of nice pink polish in the seams, probably used a high quality combo cleaner/wax and a buffer.
BV>> check it out...

And unlike Neal,

That hair is still there. And that van is so covered with "pinstriping", I use em to comb it with.
I'd like to see a hummer go through those roads.
