Great Catavina restaurant

The restaurant mentioned by thebajarunner in his medical meltdown post is just across from La Pinta, next to the abandoned gas station.

It had great food and very reasonable. It has a Cafe sign on the side, but do know the real name.

13 of us had dinner for about $80, including tip and no corkage fee.

It was the second best meal we had--the best at Correcaminos in the Guadalupe Valle, near San Juan de las Minas.

Better than the food tell the people about San Jose de las Minas

The place we stopped to eat at in San Jose de las Minas was this resturant. It was located in a nursery full of plants and flowers and large trees.
Highly recommended!! Bob H

Bob H,
This was always one of my favorite places to come and relax. Beautiful people run it. A few years back our waiter was a young Mexican kid who spoke perfect English except with an accent that I could not place. Asked him about it and he explained that his father was the owner and that he was going to college in Canada. His father required that he work at the restaurant when school was not in session. Small, small world we live in.
AND the barbeque Goat is out of this world.
It is definately worth getting to. And it is cool.
