drug overdose?

My brother inlaw was found dead in a motel in tijuana on feb 18th 2003 (so we were told).Apparently all they found on him was his CA drivers licence and they say he died of an overdose. It took the officials 5 1/2 weeks to get the info to my inlaws. I was wondering if anybody living in the area read anything or heard anything regarding this case. His name was Richard Bourbeau , in his early 30's and was living in Irvine CA.
Thanks

I assume you're dealing with the american consulate on this.

Can you tell us the name of the hotel?

Yes we are dealing with the american consulate. At this point I do not know the name of the hotel. We only found out about his death on the 27th of march.

Anon,

I dont know the particulars of the case, but i am very familiar with the organized crime scene here in Tijuana, staged drug overdoses are not used here as far as i know, check to see if the toxological report comfirms the statements by Mex Police, if the body doesnt have any obvious violence signs, then i could say this was just an accident.
