first/last time was 25 years ago. about 3 in the morning some a-hole came blasting thru the sand on a ATC 3 wheeler and almost hit us. in the morning we found a 2" long yellow scorpion under the tent.....

more, and better places elsewhere for us since then....;D

Pabellon Beach is a short distance south of the Cielito Lindo road, signed on Hwy. 1. Many have said great things about it... I always stayed at Gypsy's / Cielito Lindo when Dave and Juanita ran things.

I think I found Posada Don Diego.
Going south, after crossing the bridge over the river, go south 1.7 miles and turn right, west, for a half mile.

RV parking with services, USD 11.

Yah, the turnoff is just north of (before) the propane plant up on the hill the highway climbs...

There is a grassy area adjacent to Cielito Lindo - on the property (NOT down the road) - where you can park an RV or tent camp (no campfires). A few years ago, it was $5 to put up a tent. You can use the toilets, enjoy restaurant/bar of course, and the beach too. May not be the quietest with the guests of hotel and restaurant and nearby parking for cars, but safe and convenient. I've been to Pabellon too - they have salty showers, and the panga fishermen drive through to get to their boats very early in the morning. Go to the far end.
