LOOK: Baja Satellite Image Posters (a good treatment for Baja Fever)!
Baja maps on our walls is one way to treat Baja Fever... A high resolution satellite image is even better! I have the San Luis Gonzaga image, and you
can see all the roads, airstrips, Alfonsina's buildings, and even the ruins of Mision Santa Maria! These are so great, I have added a link to the web
site of the creator of the posters in my links to Baja sites (miscl. links). The direct link is http://www.wvvinc.com/Baja.htm
The owner (Arman) has given me permission to hot link to his site. The quality of the 'free' images easily rivels other satellite photos on line. What
you get to mount at home (2' X 3') is much more detailed, as I mentioned. Here is the sample for Bahia de los Angeles...

Great... I took the two I bought (San Felipe and San Luis Gonzaga) to the Map Store in San Marcos and had them laminated. I then took them to the
Matomi reunion camp last February and showed them off. I think Bob H, MexRay, Mike Humfreville, GeoRock, Surfer Jim, and others got a look at them and
can tell you they are awesome! You can even see the trees at Nuevo Mazatlan on it.

Magnificent! San Felipe South

Laguna Percebu, Shell Island, and Bahia Santa Maria are very clear. El Vergel is near the bottom. On the actual poster both the paved and old dirt
roads are clear as are the sulfur mine hills and all the fun arroyos to explore... even the trees at Nuevo Mazatlan are seen on the actual poster.

David, thanks for the link. I bought the San Diego area photo last week. It shows all the wildland vegitation areas that cause us FD folks so much
trouble. It is up in the training room EOC at HQ.
I'm buying the east cape surfing areas photo for my office today.
No b-tchin\' in the Baja.

Great printouts....
This are not only satellite photos.... they are also rendered from information taken by high tech satellites in orbit from NASA and other aerospace
agencies.
Thanks to DavidK, who introduced me to Arman, I got an arrangement with wvvinc: now all of the Baja printings will be available at BajaCactus, same
price as online, you can pick up one on your way.... THANKS A LOT DAVIDK!!!.
If you go drive down Baja, and stop at BajaCactus gas station, you will see on display a printout of the Baja Peninsula just beside the cashier.
Arman explained to me, that the software they use to print the Baja images, is the same used by NASA to analyze Mars and other planets surfaces. So,
as you must imagine the details are top of the line.
You are right David... these printouts are incredible.

You bet Tom, I hope Arman (the owner) joins us Nomads as he seems like a real Baja dude in our emails. Any place you want a special poster of, he can
create... including even higher resolution versions of the images he already has. Would be cool to see my truck and tent on Shell Island!

Wonderful Antonio! Bernie calls me 'the Baja Connection' in his book (a name Choral Pepper gave me, who also named Jimmy Smith The Grinning Gargoyle).
I think anything as good as Arman's posters needs to be bragged about! Let's keep them in business!
