La Paz Paella Festival today


Nov. 29: PAELLA FESTIVAL


The 2nd annual Paella Festival starts on the Malecón at 10 a.m. 20 La Paz restaurants are expected to compete. The paellas will be served at 2 p.m.


Jesse, if you are competing, the best of luck.

I hope to attend the 3rd annual!

Had a Paella contest here in Loreto last week.
Wonder who came up with this :?::?:
Paella is Portugese/Spanish, right :?:
Next Baklava contest :?:...Suaerkraut, Bangers.......:?::?::biggrin::biggrin:

Actually, we attended a Paella Festival in Ensenada a couple of years ago and it was a blast. Thought some of the Nomads might make it to the one in La Paz.

It's a Spanish dish by the way. Very tasty when prepared well.

Didn't many Mexicans migrate from Spain?? Isn't that like saying that Pizza is an Italian dish?

Its a big thing up north, theres many spanish owned restaurants and it used to be very popular after bullfights. Why here? i don't know.

Right you are. I have enjoyed many a Paella at Chiki Jai in Tijuana, as you might have as well. There also was a Tapa Restaurant over in the Zona Rio whose name I can't remember that was very good.
