Yep, Bob, that's it. And wouldn't it be fun to be there NOW? :)

Yep

But at this time of year, you'd have to be doing this.

The picture looks ideal, but if it were to include an audio attachment, would we hear an endless stream of semi-trucks using Jake brakes? It would be nice if they had an alternate truck route bypassing the bay road.

Jake brakes.... the day in February we enjoyed at Bahia Coyote was particularly quiet. Only vehicles we saw/heard were 1 car (resident), our taxi and the Coca-Cola truck, which stopped to restock Eco-Mundo, making me one happy camper. ;)
Road proximity and potential noise was, however, the reason we decided we'd not want to camp there on future trips.

A bypass would have helped make this guy's day a little less rotten.

Ya know, I've camped at Coyote many times and never hear the trucks. My mind is tied up with the beauty of that beach! Great hiking around that area too.

In 2001, we camped at Santispac with Capt. Mike... Other than the beauty, the jake breaks is what I will remember of that place. I think El Requeson is better as the highway noise is blocked by the hill. I have camped there four times ('66, '74, '76, '85)... no highway in '66... didn't see another car the whole time! Here's the '85 photo, note the high tide to palapa distance!
