RESULTS & SUCCESS: Golf4Niños Charity &Fiesta
Saturday, June 12, Baja Country Club, Ensenada, Baja California.
Our 3rd annual Golf4Niños Charity &Fiesta/Ensenada is preparing for your weekend of fun in June.
Every penny of profit goes to local charity for children. We keep our costs lower than most charity events due to the incredible work of our
volunteer staff and the generous gift donations of Nomads and other donors in Baja, California Alta and North America.
Just over $14,000 in profits went to Agua Viva children's shelter in 2009.
Golf 4somes, 3somes, doubles and singles encouraged to join us for the entire weekend of fun events. We had 64 golfers in 2009.
Non-golfers also encouraged to join us. We served over 250 dinners at our catered taco feast at the Grand Fiesta in 2009. Will have live music,
auction, raffle, cash bar and the most fun that you can have with your clothes on.
Have a small gift from holidays that you can't use? Have a socal or baja gift certificate that you don't really need? Have a business that you'd
like to promote? Want to get involved in a fun weekend in Ensenada?

Just wanted to push this post back up. For all you golfers and after golf party goers plan on June 12 to be here. It looks like we may have a few
celebrity golfers this year. Maybe a "Charger Great" will play. He was voted one of the 50 best that wore the uniform. He hasn't committed yet but it
looks like he will. He's an old high school buddy. Don't ask me his name. I will post it when he is confirmed.
I hope we have a lot more Nomads out there for a really fun filled day...... Last year we had 78 golfers and this year we plan on many more.
It's for a really great charity. See you all there this year... No excuses.

3rd Annual Event. C'MON DOWN
The event is fun AND it also supports a local shelter. $10 entry for food, live music and an afternoon of fun, Saturday, June 12.
250+ guests at 2009 Fiesta following golf. This year, we're beginning the Fiesta at 2PM, which is when the golfers be thirsty after completing their
golf:
1. Business Sponsors(starts at $100) will once again have space for their displays to promote business services. Approx half of 2009
guess were SoCal, half were Ensenada locals. Pester Bajadock for details, including our charity's 501c3 for tax deduction.
2. If you have a gift suitable for auction($200+ value) or raffle(<$100 value), thanks for that help. Last year's prizes included
one dozen weekend stays at various B&B's/hotels/rentals in Ensenada, several dinners for 2, boat cruise, massages and loads more.
3. Let your golf buddies know about the fun weekend. We have a nice entry discount for your team of 4 and there are great deals on hotels, beach
rentals and ocean view homes for you and your guests to relax.

Those who attended in 2008 and 2009 recognize the above photo as the site of our FIESTA on the northeast end of Baja Country Club.
At 2PM this June 12th, this tree-covered oasis will be the venue for food, music, raffle, auction, beverages, friends and fun. Golfers will be
getting off the course just before 2 and will be joining us for FIESTA.
Have an auction item($200+ retail value, such as vacation rental, Baja or SoCal business gift certificate)? We will promote your business as thanks
for your donation. 501c3# is also available to your for your tax deduction.
Have a spare $ to throw at Agua Viva Shelter in the fields west of Maneadero? Thanks for any donation. Every penny of profits from this
all-volunteer supported event goes to the children and families that work the fields, live in shanties if they are lucky and struggle for basics.
75% of the Fiesta crowd doesn't golf, so join us for the party from 2-6PM. Other parties and events occur that Friday and Saturday nights.
Will have a dozen+ Nomads here, but, would like to have more.

Dress code strictly enforced, June 12
3 Weeks remain until the big FIESTA. June 12, Baja Country Club. All profits from this ALL-VOLUNTEER event go to Agua Viva Shelter, Maneadero.
CHECKLIST:
[ ] A1. Ladies dress code: Skirt length below knee, buttoned up blouses, bonnets, parasols...UNLESS you are planning on having fun. FUN = whatever
you would like to flaunt.
Gentleman's dress code: "You're not going to wear THAT to Golf4Ninos, are you?". OR please consult our fashion editor, Sir DENNIS, on his

Shrimp boil is being served at the June 12 Fiesta that begins at 2PM, June 12, at Baja Country Club. Non-golfers are
the majority by 3 to 1, so get on your boogies shoes and join us. But signup on our website by June 4. The fiesta is a steal at $10, but increases
to $12 on June 4 to help us predict food inventory.

NOMAD EVENT JUNE 12 in ENSENADA
1. Where is your 4some for Golf4Ninos? Can't handle the pressure? Too busy wanting to be like Eldrick? Don't have the polyester wardrobe to match
your game?
2. Fiesta tickets are $10 until midnight June 4. Then we pump them all the way up to a whopping $12. And that $2 savings will get you a cold
Pacifico at the Fiesta.
3. NOMADS have been fairly quiet about supporting/attending this year's event. Sign of economy? No longer enthralled with the juggling acts in TJ or
OTAY? Not an old, gray, stout, beer-drinking white guy in ill-fitting pants (see wikipedia = GOLFER)? Heard the Ensenada cops were no longer
providing mordida excitement and you're headed to Juarez for a bigger challenge???
Several VIP Ensenada Nomads(that's any of us who can fog a mirror) will be signing autographs this year. C'mon down for the shrimp boil, the adult
beverages, the music, the great setting at our private OASIS in the shady trees of Baja Country Club, the silent auction(6 vacation packages included
and counting) and the peripheral parties all weekend long.
Or your $10 or $20 donation(anonymous requests honored) is likely happy hour money for you, but a that is a week's worth of meals for others.

This year, we have to be decent. You know.....check all of your zippers.
Next year, we're considering a "Clothing Optonal" start time....like maybe 10 AM.
Then, the following year, clothing just won't be allowed, on anybody.

62 golfers, 210+ Fiesta attendance, Ramon & The Rhythm Riders played rock/salsa, fabulous silent auction full of vacation values, raffle(over 50
prizes) with loads of dining certificates, 19th hole tavern to quench thirsts, wineries selling/sampling their bottles, cajun shrimp boil served and
the sun poked through at 4PM for a great afternoon.
We also had a new tournament record, tied by 2 teams, including the Rosarito Beach team of Phil Irby, Raul Leon, Willard Marfleet & Al Glaudel
shot 61, 11 under par(scramble format). Scorecard playoff went to Ensenada's Familia Castro with an eagle 2 on the first playoff hole, the par 4
first.
