I Hope You Get Some 1st Person Response

But anyway, tripadvisor.com has some information and reviews from guests that are interesting and, at a quick glance, seem mostly positive.

One thing I noticed was that every review posted, positive or negative, received a response from the hotel.

I stayed there a couple of months back when doing business at the border. Very nice rooms / service but get your best deal and book online. Will cost you more just making a reservation/showing up.

I've heard its good but expensive; over $100 for a room. Nice views of the country club.

How about the Real Del Mar [I think that's the name] with a golf course right off the toll road, north of Rosarito....isn't that also a Marriot?

At the Marriot? Maybe not. I think the Marriots are owned by the Mormon Church or something like that.

Yes but the Marriott downtown TJ is much nicer. Bob is right - Marriott's in the states have gotten very expensive and at the internet rate it is a bargain...

Actually, the company founder was a Mormon from Utah. interesting history for the company, such as the involvement with A&W, and the fact that the company existed for some 30 years before it ever opened a hotel. If you click on this link, I suggest you scroll down the page and start at the bottom.

Biggest chuckle for me was that they introduced Mexican food items to their menu in D.C. back in 1927.
