# 1000 ?????
that is from no importance for sure.
If I see the member list,
if I see the many so called members who registered in 2002 or 03 and never placed any post, never had a question ???
What the heck does that number mean?
There are only two / three handfull of members who are posting regularely and who are really interested in the Baja California.
To my understanding all those who never place any post - lets say after 6 month or so - why not delete those?
That makes it a more realistic figure.
I bet there are some squaws sitting behind the guy who is posting and counting everyday >>>>> and when # 999 is registered they are hitting the keybord.
What kind of ego do I need to have???
Have fun with counting !

Hey "Tex"

Grover was being, well, Grover  Funny guy, you have to "get" the humor. Though I've never met him in person, he reminds me of "El Camote" and "Desert Rat" with his quick wit and wry sence of humor......he's a sick guy, what can I say

;D Keep it up Grover!

And "Tex" watch it with the "squaws" comment! :o this is the WWW and you never know who you might be sitting next to at a "Magic Rock" fire someday that might be hiding a tomahawk under her deer skins. (Or bathing suit as the case maybe.) :D

debra, you got it right.
grover got the kidof humor you want to call 'dry'
my squaw wa laughing out loud > LOL < about 'the gull' comment.
that wa sreally dry (>not you!)

and answering her to your comment about Fredricksburg/TX in the 'Mexican Employee' section.
Well Blanco/TX and Fredericksburg/TX are nice towns.
But nothing is ever happening here.
All folks are just waiting to die!
And I wanna be at leats 251 years old.
So I do not want to see them all dieing(or is it dying?) and survive myself for another 125 years.
No I wanna go baja and live with the Mexicans.
They look all like they are 125 years old and that fits my lifestyle.
Have fun with the graves.

I think a lot of people register to a board like this just for the free reading material - which is sometimes quite witty and sometimes the opposite. The variety of things that come up every single day on these threads are quite entertaining, to say the least.

Remember, there is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what Baja is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

Well, we now have 1003 members... I did a little fancy counting and think that "dbeck" is #1000.

I think we should at least have invited DjordschDubbeljuh>juhu to be number 1000.
To my opinion that is the number which best fits him!!!

"Tex"

Though I've never been to either for the last (about 15yrs. ) I loved the "nothing ever happens here" My favorite thing to do was to go out on the "swing" with a cup of coffee or tea, (every home in Texas has one) , and just watch the sun come up......that is what I love about Baja, if you are looking for "happenings" better move to Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada or La Paz (La Paz would be good if you want a city) it's still a Mexican city (Ensenada is too an extent also, although too close to the US border to avoid the tourist influx, but large enough to absorb it. I hope you keep posting as you make your adventure a reality. Thanks! :)
