The last night and sunset of 2010

It was a chilly, but beautiful evening here just a tad bit north of Baja. It is NOT A NON BAJA TRAVEL REPORT---it was moved.

Sun Setting

Going, going

Below the horizon now

After Sundown

Opps, a letter is missing.

And Good Night 2010 ---

Last year was a GREAT year for us in IB, Baja and beyond, and we hope for the same this year, and the same for everyone.

Edited to change last night of 2011 to 2010! Yikes, time goes too fast already!

That is one beautiful firework's shot! Really nice and the fireworks look fantastic. You captured it VERY well.

Very nice pix, Diane, very nice. I looked and looked, wanted to be able to say 'I especially like this one because'.... but have come to the conclusion that I like them all. There is something really charming about that pier - just the right shot for year's end.

Like a crow, I am attracted to shiny stuff... and I find entrancing those colorful luminescent tubes at the entrance. I wonder if they make them in a smaller, more garden-art sort of size.

btw, amiga, it was the last sunset of 2010.
Already you're a year ahead of yourself.

THANKS for the nice comments! I appreciate them amiga.

OMG---time goes too fast as it is! Thanks and I edited to get that time back.

That shiny art work was named surfhinge by the artist----since we are a surfing town---those represent surfboards.

At first we were not real sure if we liked them or not and some of us called them the colorful MacDonald Golden Arches---but they have grown on us----and they were a part of the major improvement of the entire pier area.

Some holiday surf lights.

But the surfers around here are crazy---with all the storms all the water polluted signs are up, but so is the surf---so there are LOTS of surfers out there.
:o

You are looking down on our neck of the woods.

Glad you surf much further south in places never to be talked about where the water is clear, clean and just waiting for you. Have a great time on your upcoming trip!
